7. Squat to Shoulder

This exercise will come in handy strengthening your shoulders while working out your core and lower body.

1. Stand with your feet slightly stretched about a foot wide.

2. Make sure there is very little or no slack on the ropes than hold the two ends on your shoulders.

3. Go down into a squat and as you come up instantaneously press them over your head to straighten your hands.

4. As you go down into a squat again, bring the ropes down on top of your shoulders.

5. Repeat for ten to twenty times with one-minute rests (3 or 4 sets will be enough)

Tip: don’t stick with a style for this exercise, instead, focus on form.  When your form begins to break, it’s time to call it quits.

8. Alternating Wide Circles

This full body exercise places more emphasis on your grip strength and back muscles. For optimum benefits, ensure that you make the circles with your legs as big as you can.

It is also advisable to keep a strong momentum through the entire exercise because when you slow down, the ropes become extremely heavy, which can make it difficult to get the ropes moving again.

1. Put your feet a foot apart in a shallow squat and hold each and of the rope with each of your hands.

2. With your core tightened, flip each end of the rope sideways in circular motions.

3. Complete the motion by bringing your hand to the front of your body.

4. Use this momentum to keep the ropes in motion. Move the hands independently but always in sync

5. Repeat for thirty seconds with twenty-second breaks(3 to 4 sets will be enough)

Tip: keep strong momentum through the entire exercise because when you slow down, the ropes become extremely heavy, which can make it difficult to get the ropes moving again.

9. Jumping Jacks

Your smaller neck and shoulder muscles also need to be jacked up and nothing does it better than jumping jacks.

1. With your feet about a foot apart and elbows bent, grasp the two ends of the rope in each of your hands.

2. Jump high but with your feet wide apart while bringing your hands to the side. This will make it possible to raise the rope to shoulder height.

3. As you go down with your feet back together, slam the rope forcefully down

4. Do this for about thirty seconds with twenty-second rest intervals. (3 to 4 sets are enough)

10. Alternating Jump

Time to wrap up the session with a full body workout which will need power and solid coordination. It will be felt in your arms, shoulders, back, legs and glutes. Unlike our previous exercise, this one in particular will exercise your entire body.
